To enable the PE Tracer to be inserted into live PE mains, via a standard Service Tee, a system has been developed that enables the cutter to be removed, and a guide tube, complete with a directional foot, to be installed under live no blow conditions. The guide tube has a low pressure glanding system as standard, but can be supplied with a medium pressure glanding system ( suitable for use at pressures up to 2 bar ) if required. Once the tracing operation has been completed the guide tube can be removed and the cutter replace, all under live no blow conditions.

This glanding system, which has been tested at pressures up to 7 bar, is most suited for insertion of the Tracer Rod into gas and water mains and services. The gland rubber, which is about 25mm thick, can be compressed during use to increase the seal and prevent leakage. It has a 1” BSP internal thread as standard and is supplied with an adaptor to suit ¾” BSP. An adaptor to suit ¾” and 1” gas meter thread is also available Tracer Gland MP 3/4" & 1" BSP Thread

- Suitable for all pipes 40mm (1 1/2") upwards
- Can cut slots of up to 600mm long and 20mm deep
- Accuracy of cut with digital depth gauge
- Fast - 30 minutes to cut a complete window
- Reduces the risk of ‘white finger’
-
Used to provide a temporary water and dirt seal at the end of a pipe. Useful for sealing road crossings laid prior to the main pipeline. Please contact us for prices and information.

The Pipe Equipment Pipe Support Rollers have been specially designed to ease the problems of handling plastic pipes during jointing and installation. They greatly reduce the chances of pipe damage as a result of the pipe string being trailed along the ground and keep pipe drag to a minimum. Pipe Support Rollers are available as ‘Free Standing’ or ‘In Trench’.

Designed to be bolted to the outside, or inside, of large diameter PE pipes. This is a cost effective alternative to other models where speed of installation / removal is less critical. Available in the size range 400mm to 1200mm. The Bolt-On Towing Head has been designed as a cost effective solution to the problem of obtaining a strong and reliable pulling attachment onto larger (400mm +) PE pipes of any wall thickness (SDR). It is available as a sealed, or unsealed unit making it suitable for both Directional Drilling and Slip Lining applications as well as a method of pulling PE pipes during direct burial installations. On the sealed variant the Towing Head is supplied already attached to a metre length of capped PE pipe. The unsealed variant is usually supplied as a bare unit suitable for fitting on site to a pipe section. For applications where it is not desirable to increase the outside diameter of the pipe by even a small amount, i.e. tight fit slip lining, the Bolt-On Towing Head can be manufactured to fit inside the PE pipe and therefore not increase the outside diameter at all. Please contact us for prices and information.
-
This towing head is fused onto the PE pipe string and features a strong sealed, but rotating, eye bolt, thus ensuring a fully sealed towing head. Suitable for directional drilling, slip lining and direct burial. Available in the size range 90mm to 500mm plus. Please contact us for prices and information.

Similar to the Standard model except that this model has an additional sealing ring which will withstand an internal pressure of 10 bar. This design also prevents the ingress of dirt and fluid and the contamination of a pre-chlorinated pipe. Available in the size range 25mm to 500mm. Please contact us for prices and information.

This product is designed to pull a number of smaller pipes or cables into a directionally drilled bore or into an existing pipe or duct. Please contact us for prices and information.

The Pipe Equipment Gas-Vac™ Systems utilise a lightweight hand held venturi 'gun', powered by an on-site compressor or nitrogen bottle, to perform several different functions within the gas distribution industry. Originally devised by Operational Transco Engineers, Gas-Vac™ is predominantly utilised for service dewatering and has undergone a series of tests and field trials to ensure it meets the required safety and performance standards.

Duct Brushes are used to remove dirt and other loose debris from inside electrical or communication ducts. They are supplied either with an eye at both ends for pulling through ducts, or with a M12 fitting for pushing through ducts using a Cobra (Flexible Fibreglass Rod). They are available to suit ducts from 2″ (50mm ) to 16″ (400mm).
-
Pull Throughs, also known as Squeegees and Plungers, are used to remove fine particles and fluids from pipes. They consist of two thick rubber discs mounted on a high tensile steel central shaft with a towing eye at each end. For applications where the pipeline contains tight bends a ‘flexible’ Pull Through can be supplied. This model has a chain linking the two discs, rather than a rigid central shaft. They are suitable for use with all pipe materials and are available in the size range 2″ (50mm) to 48″ (1200mm).
-
Wire Brush Pigs consist of two circular wire brushes mounted onto a high tensile steel central shaft with a towing eye located at each end. They are designed to be pulled through a metal pipe to remove loose deposits and dust prior to insertion of PE pipe. They can also be used after the Pipe Scraper to remove the deposits loosened by the scrapers. They are available from stock, for all common pipe sizes up to 12″ (300mm), with larger sizes available on request. Wire brushes are also available to mount on the front of a Towing Head to allow the metal pipe to be cleaned as the new PE pipe is installed.
-
Pipe Scrapers are designed to remove hard deposits and nodules. This type, which are also known as Christmas Tree Scrapers, are made up of a number of spring steel scrapers mounted on a high tensile steel central shaft. These scrapers remove deposits as they are winched through the pipe. The central shaft is fitted with a towing eye at each end to allow the scraper to be pulled back if necessary. They are available for all pipe sizes in the range 2″ (50mm) to 48″ (1200mm).

LINK SEALS are used to provide a seal between a product pipe or cable and a casing sleeve, duct or wall. LINK SEALS provide a modular hydrostatic sealing mechanism that is independent of internal or external pressure, and can provide a pressure seal up to 5 bar. LINK SEALS also provide electrical and vibrational insulation, and can provide fire resistance for up to three hours. The rubber material absorbs shocks and sounds, and reduces the vibration load on the pipes and cables. The unique link structure makes it possible to produce an almost unlimited number of sizes. Please download the data sheet to show different options available. Our sales team can advise suitable Link Seal and core hole sizes upon request. The seal is supplied in an assembled condition with the required number of links, and owing to its special design the LINK SEAL chain is rapidly installed.
