Expanding Stoppers also know as drain plugs or bungs, are used for pipes and ducts in the size range from 1/2″ (12mm) to 48″ (1200mm). They are manufactured from nylon, aluminium or pressed steel (dependant on size) and are designed to prevent the ingress of water and dirt into new and existing pipes. All stoppers have a central bored shaft in the size range ½″ to 2″ (dependant upon stopper size). This shaft has an external BSP thread and is fitted with a sealing cap. -
For pressure testing and temporary sealing of gas, water, oil and sewerage pipes made of steel, cast iron, clay, plastic and concrete. For maximum allowable back pressures for each size of plug, please see attached the Datasheet in the document section. Please note that plugs must be suitably braced when applying any back pressure, in order to prevent the risk of accident. -

Two inflation pressures – 1.5 bar and 2.5 bar. Allowable Backpressure (Test Pressure) is equal to 50% of the Inflation Pressure.** Large expansion range. Lightweight – most sizes can be installed by one person. Can be supplied with any length of inflation hose. ** Maximum inflation & back pressure figures are for stoppers fully inserted into the pipe and mechanically braced against slippage. An Inflation assembly, complete with pressure relief and pressure gauge, suitable for use with an on site compressor, can be supplied separately. A Heavy Duty Hand Pump is also available. -
Used to ‘prove’ the internal bore of a pipe or duct prior to the installation of a liner or cable. This is our Solid Nylon Proving Pig version. Also see our Steel Dumbbell Style version. We can supply any size of Proving pig. However, the diameter is normally 10% less than the ID of the pipe. If you do not see the size, you require below, please contact our sales team. We can manufacture bespoke sizes. -

Similar to the Standard model except that this model has an additional sealing ring which will withstand an internal pressure of 10 bar.
